Election Integrity
For Utahns, election security is about one thing: trust. Trust that every vote counts and every election is fair. Utah has a strong track record of election security, but there is always room for improvement.
Over the past few years, the Utah House of Representatives has passed bills to implement a rigorous audit process, strengthen ID requirements for voting, and ensure that mail-in ballots are only sent to active voters. We also passed legislation to strengthen election security by establishing stricter voting equipment requirements and requiring proof of citizenship to vote.
Voting is one of the most important things we do as Americans. We should do everything we can to ensure free and fair elections remain a keystone of our republic. Utah is setting the standard — showing the rest of the nation that secure elections and accessible elections go hand in hand.

$2 million for Election Law Outreach
Provided counties with funding for public outreach to inform voters of the new requirement to provide the last 4 digits of state ID when returning a ballot by mail (2025)

Evaluate the security of in-person voting versus voting by mail and the best practices for conducting and implementing a process where identification must be presented before depositing a ballot in a ballot drop box (2026)
